Over 150 Haitian and Latine migrant families seeking asylum are being temporarily housed at the Clarion Hotel in Taunton, MA.Culturally inappropriate and harmful living conditions are putting these families at immediate health risk. Community members have begun coordinating a layered response to provide both basic resources (nutritious food, doula support, and more) and political advocacy.However, the organizers need more support. They are seeking funding, baby and postpartum supplies, culturally concordant & trauma informed healthcare, and translation services.
